Cadenza Strategy Group provides the Cadenza Data Suite and Cadenza Chat to public school districts. This page explains what we collect through this website and how we protect district data.
This website
This website uses no cookies or tracking scripts. Our host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs for security and gives us aggregate visit statistics from them (page views, most-visited pages and visitor countries). We cannot identify individual visitors from these. We also count page views on our own server as hourly totals by page, country or U.S. state, referring site, and which of our email campaign links was used, and for which school district (never per person). These totals use no cookies and no personal information, and are deleted after 14 months. If you email or call us, we use your name and contact details only to reply. When you request a proposal, we save the name, title, district, email, phone and notes you enter, and use them only to prepare and follow up on your proposal. Our demo page shows a scheduler from Calendly. When you book a demo, Calendly collects your name, email and answers to its questions under its own privacy policy, and we use them only to schedule, prepare for and follow up on that demo. We do not sell or share your contact details. Our demos use Demo ISD, a synthetic sample district, and contain no real student data.
District and student data
District data reaches us only under a signed agreement with the district, and that agreement controls over this page. Under it:
- Cadenza acts as a school official under FERPA and follows Texas Education Code Chapter 32.
- Each district's data is stored in its own space in Google Cloud in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Google (Google Cloud, including Gemini) is our only subprocessor.
- Our standard data template does not include student names, birthdates or addresses.
- Only staff the district authorizes can see the data, through the district's Google sign-in.
- Cadenza Chat answers questions using Google's Gemini models inside our Google Cloud project, and only over that district's own data. Under Google Cloud's terms, customer data is not used to train AI models.
- For security, Cadenza Chat records who signs in, when, from what network address, and how much data each answer returns. We keep these records for one year and use them only to protect district data.
- We use the data only to provide our services to that district. We never sell it, use it for advertising, use it to train AI models, or combine it with another district's data.
- If a district's data may have been exposed, we notify the district promptly, within the time its agreement requires.
- When a district asks, or its service ends, we return its data on request, delete it within the time its agreement requires, and confirm the deletion in writing.
Public results
Statistics on this site come from public contest and All-Region results and are reported as totals, without naming students or individual client districts.
